600g minced meat with 150g suet
2 ripe tomatoes, thin round slices
3 onions, finely diced and squeezed
4 - 6 green chillies, finely chopped
2 tbsp ginger paste
3 tbsp garlic paste
3 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
2 eggs, whisked
500g oil for shallow frying
Packet Shan Chappli Kebab Mix
Kneed together all the ingredients except the oil. Mix to a smooth paste and leave aside for 30 minutes.
With wet hands, form thin flat round kebabs. Press a slice of tomato into one side of the kebab, and then fry in hot oil until crisp brown on both sides.
Serve hot with diced fresh salad. and chutney.
