Flavor & Taste: Moderate heat, peppery, stronger & pungent than black pepper, woody & resinous flavor, prized for its unique aftertaste as well as tongue-numbing sensation.
Uses: Used in Sichuan dishes and Chinese Five Spice Mix. Also used sparingly in sauces, marinating food, and stewing meats for incomparably delicious flavor.
